Where To Spot Celebrities in LA

One of the first things people ask us when they are on tour is “where can I see a celebrity?”. Although we can not guarantee celebrity sightings, we can take you to some of the best places where you will have a chance! Here are some of our favorite places where celebrities hang out.
Sunset Junction
Sunset Junction is where Sunset Boulevard and Santa Monica Boulevard meet in the neighborhood of Silverlake. Known as one of the hippest areas of Los Angeles, Silverlake is home to a variety of interesting restaurants, shopping and coffee shops that draws in entertainment industry folks big and small. If you want a great cup of coffee, check out Intelligentsia. While there, you can grab a seat, settle in and you may run into one of your favorite stars. Celebs spotted there include Drew Barrymore, Zachary Quinto, Olivia Wilde and Jane Lynch. You can also head over to Café Stella for some French food worth trying. While there you might spot a celebrity or two. Even if you don’t, you will definitely have a satisfyingly full belly when you leave.

Chateau Marmont
Chateau Marmot was originally built in the 1920s as Los Angeles’s first earthquake-proof apartment building. Architect Arnold A. Weitzman modeled it after the Chateau D’Amboise in the Loire Valley in France. From the beginning, the Chateau was a place where celebrities flocked and scandals abounded. Secret romances were conducted there and there was always someone causing mischief of some sort. It was in 1982 that this castle-like apartment turned hotel became notorious when John Belushi died of an overdose of cocaine and heroine. It is also where Lindsay Lohan lived and was eventually barred from. And where Britney Spears displayed some very odd behavior. While many former employees say that there are too many stories to tell, one reason Chateau Marmont is so popular with the elite is that they are fiercely protective of their guests, especially celebrity ones. Even if you don’t want to get a room here, you can still stop at the Bar Marmont for a drink and probably spot someone famous. Celebrities who have hung out there include Leonardo DiCaprio, Sandra Bullock, Robert De Niro, Keanu Reeves, Jude Law, James Franco, Lady Gaga, Kit Harington, Lana Del Rey, Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan and many others.
Robertson Boulevard
Talk about a place to see and be seen. From the extremely popular boutiques such as Kitson, Lisa Kline, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren and Tory Burch to fabulous restaurants such as The Ivy and Newsroom Cafe, Robertson Boulevard is not only a fun place to visit, it is also a mecca for celebrities. Seen shopping or dining there over the years include the famous faces of J. Lo, Paris Hilton, Hillary Duff, Jessica Alba, Tom Hanks, Britney Spears, the Kardashians, Gwen Stefani, Tom Cruise, Jessica Simpson, Katie Holmes and many more. Robertson is also a huge hangout for paparazzi looking to get a shot of celebs dashing in and out of Robertson’s many stores or walking out of its most famous restaurant.
Melrose Avenue
They didn’t name a TV show after this place for nothing. If you want to do some shopping where you can find everything from cutting edge to classic then look no further than Melrose. Home to the famous Fred Segal clothing store, Melrose has seen its share of celebrities shopping including Taylor Swift, Hayden Panetierre, Matthew Morrison, Joel Madden, Selena Gomez, Renee Zellweger, Victoria Beckham, Megan Fox, Rita Ora, Adrien Brody, Halle Berry, Dave Grohl, Salma Hayek and many others. While you are rubbing elbows with movie and tv stars, you can grab a bite to eat at the original Johnny Rockets or even do some antique shopping along Melrose Place. Plus you never know who, or what you will find at the weekly flea market held at Fairfax high school. You should check it out!
Runyon Canyon
Probably one of the most well known hiking trails here in LA, given that it is a celebrity favorite. You can walk the main loop o this 160-acre park or enjoy the numerous dirt hiking trails. While there, you will likely see many celebrities (and their trainers!) working up a sweat or just taking Fido for a walk (their off-leash policy is incredible). Some of our favorite celebrity sightings there include Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Charlize Theron, Matthew Morrison, Ashley Tisdale and Hayden Panettiere. Don’t see celebrities? You can still enjoy people watching as well as the views of the stunning million dollar mansions all around as well as views of the Hollywood Sign, Sunset Strip and LA Basin.
