Cool Ways to Cool Off in LA
It’s getting hot in here… so take off your sweaters and put on your shorts and tanks because it is time to enjoy summer in Los Angeles. while the weather is beautiful here year round, there is something special about summer. It can, however, get pretty hot because, after all, it IS summer. Not to worry, though, we have some fantastic ways to beat the heat during your stay in our great city. Here is just a few
Ride a bike along the beach
There are fantastic bike paths through our beautiful stretches of beaches. You can also roller blade or take a lovely walk on these paths (great for not filling your shoes with sand). You are so close to the water that you get a lovely ocean breeze that will cool you off quite nicely. If you are still too hot, then you can take a break at one of the many cafes that line the paths (or take a dunk in the ocean!).
Visit a museum
Spend some time indoors and enjoy the air conditioning in one of our many museums. Some of our favorites include The California Science Center, Natural History Museum, The Peterson Automotive Museum, The Getty Museum or The La Brea Tar Pits. Fun and affordable, these museums are a nice way to see some fantastic things and to beat the heat!
Parasailing
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No… it’s you!! Parasailing is one of those activities that is just a blast to be a part of. Not only is it a cool experience, you will feel nice and cool flying over the water. And talk about the view. You won’t find a better one in Los Angeles. In most cases, you launch and land from the deck of the boat. There are a few different companies between LA and Orange County that you can hire for your parasailing adventure. Even if you are a novice or have been parasailing all over the world, you don’t want to miss out on this great ride in the ocean.
