1. AC Hotel Beverly Hills

On the more budget side of things, the AC Hotels brand by Marriott is appealing to both business and leisure travelers. This entirely-new property is Marriott’s first AC hotel in Los Angeles, and the brand couldn’t have picked a better location for it. AC Hotel Beverly Hills is situated in the Miracle Mile district and offers more than 140 guestrooms in a redeveloped 1950s office building.

2. Palihotel Culver City

Also opened up earlier this year, Palihotel Culver City is a boutique property that has a storied past. The building was originally a boarding house in the 1920s and the decor is totally chic and elegant, with Art Deco touches. There are fewer than 50 guestrooms here, so if you want to stay in one of these lovely little historic rooms, you’ll want to book fast. And, if you’ve never heard of Culver City before, just know that the neighborhood is a preferred spot for young crowds to live and play and is near a handful of film studios.

3. Dream Hollywood

The original Dream property has been serving celebs in New York City for a while, so celebs are equally at home at the new Dream Hollywood, which opened in the spring. The luxe property offers awesome views of the Hollywood sign from its 175-plus guestrooms. The absolute best part of this hotel, though, is the rooftop pool and greenhouse club.

4. 1 West Hollywood

Over the summer, The Jeremy Hotel in West Hollywood got an update. It’s now the 1 West Hollywood. The brand focuses on eco-friendly and sustainable hospitality, through special touches like timers in the showers to show guests how much water they’re wasting. There are nearly 300 guestrooms at this mid-size property, with 50 suites and two penthouses.

5. The Hoxton Downtown Los Angeles

The Hoxton brand got its start in Europe, but has been slowly expanding across the United States. The results are fabulous. The brand has all the ultra-chic amenities you’d expect from a European brand, while still catering to the fun, lifestyle traveler crowd. The Hoxton Downtown Los Angeles opens in October and is situated in an old Los Angeles Railway Authority building, offering just under 175 guestrooms. If you don’t book a stay here, at least try to stop in to the excellent restaurant and bar.
