Combine the fun and beauty of the wine country with the majesty of the largest animals on earth. Three days and two nights tasting wines from the prestigious Santa Ynez Valley near Santa Barbara, with a whale watching trip sandwiched between the wine tasting bacchanal.
We’ll see kitchy Solvang with its Danish windmills and Disneyland architecture, and stroll the local tasting rooms and restaurants. We go to some of the charming wineries to taste on premises as well.
On the second morning we travel to nearby Santa Barbara for a whale watching cruise. Depending on the season we see gray whales, humpback whales, or maybe even blue whales, the largest animal in the history of the planet. Don’t forget the dolphins!
Even indulge a little Hollywood as we take a look at some of the sights in the film Sideways. Bottoms up!
